A BBQ for a good cause: when the Williams team comes together to give back
At Williams, we love getting together — not just around our projects, but also around a good BBQ.
Every year, our team rolls up their sleeves (or rather fires up the grill!) for a tradition we all look forward to: the Vendor BBQ.
A shared meal, a common cause
The concept is simple: we serve delicious hamburgers and cheeseburgers to the whole team.
In exchange? Those who wish can make a donation of any amount they choose.
All funds collected are then redistributed within the community during the holiday season, in the form of grocery gift cards offered to families in need, among other initiatives.
A small gesture that makes a big difference — and a reminder of why local solidarity means so much to us.
Behind the grill: Mario and Guy, BBQ masters
Once again this year, it was Mario and Guy who put on their aprons to grill the burgers to perfection (or almost).
Between laughter, bites, and team stories, you can truly feel the camaraderie that makes Williams so strong.
Meanwhile, the other members of the sales team buttered the buns, sliced the tomatoes, onions, and lettuce, filled the coolers, and took orders — all with a smile.
Giving is also receiving
When we ask the team why this initiative comes back every year, the answer is simple:
“Because it’s fun. We give back, we spend good times together, and we help the community.”
In short, combining enjoyment with a good cause.
It perfectly sums up our spirit: working hard, but never forgetting to lead with heart and stay close to Quebec families.
On the road to the holiday season
The money raised during the BBQ will be donated in December — just in time to bring a bit of warmth to families in need.
Not only does the Williams team make a significant contribution to the total amount given, but we also encourage our partners, distributors, contractors, and everyone who works with us, directly or indirectly, to take part in this wonderful act of solidarity.
It’s our way of saying thank you and making a real difference in our community.
What’s more, to ensure that every dollar raised goes directly to families in need, Williams’ management generously provides all the food and beverages for the BBQ. That means 100% of the donations make an impact!
